Bio

Donny Thompson is a songwriter/composer, engineer, musician and producer.

He has worked in the music business for over 30 years, both as a regional performer in northeast Ohio and as an international touring musician as well.

His band credits include Cleveland's Easy Street Band as a bassist / vocalist (and in later years, with the reunion version of the band, on drums and vocals), Cleveland Top 40 band Goodfoot (on drums and vocals) and Akron's well known contemporary dance band LaFlavour (as an alternate drummer/vocalist from 1995-1996) as well as numerous other Northeastern Ohio club acts throughout the years.

Currently, he is working as guitar player/backup vocalist for Jonah Koslen's Stage Pass Now. Jonah was, as many may remember, the guitar player and vocalist for Cleveland bands Breathless and The Michael Stanley Band.

Donny also appears as a solo artist, (guitar and keys) performing and specializing in pop, classic R&B, classic rock, classic dance and easy listening. His repertoire is wide, including songs from the 1960's to the 1990's.

Thompson also continues to work with other artists; collaborating with long-time friend Jeff Hutton on various production music projects.
(Hutton was the keyboard player for various noteable Ohio live acts including Souvenir, Tattoo, Fayrewether and the Raspberries.)

As of January 2009, Thompson has begun a partnership with old friend Roger Hatfield,
co-writing and co-producing several projects. Hatfield is a Grammy Award winning producer and songwriter.
