The Story of D'nero
Artist/Audio Engineer/Producer/Songwriter D'nero started writing at the age of 11, and was recording in a professional recording studio by 15. He pushed his career to the next level after obtaining positive feedback by A&R Vakseen of Slip- N-Slide Records back in 2007. With influences like 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Eminem, Dipset, Jagged Edge, Jay-Z & Notorious B.I.G., his variety in music brings a complete package to the table, being able to switch to any style of urban music, even as far as Rock.
The 21-year-old hitmaker from New Jersey is well known for his success in sales. To date, D'nero managed to sell over 20,000 units in 17 different countries as an unsigned artist with a $400 budget, 11,000 of which was sold through digital sales via iTunes, Amazon, Napster, Rhapsody & eMusic. "My music has paid my bills since i was 18-years-old. In some cases, i have already fulfilled my dream, because how many people can say they accomplished the things that i did? with no company or funding behind them?". D'nero also has plenty of shows under his belt, his most memorable as being the opening acts for artists such as: Maino, Ron Browz, Cory Gunz & TRAV (of G-Unit). On top of him opening for such big artists, he has also performed at showcases for Universal Music Group, Def Jam, Jive, Bad Boy Records & Atlantic Records. On top of that, he also was nominated for an award by the IEA (Indie
Elite Awards) for Best Male Indie Rap Artist of 2010.
As of 2009, D'nero gained a big interest in audio engineering, going so far as to getting an internship & obtaining a job as a Assistant Engineer at The Jam Room Music Complex in Howell, NJ. He decided to take his career to the next level, and attended school at the Institute of Audio Research in New York, NY; and attending Columbia College of Chicago in the fall of 2011, and sell his services to aspiring artists such as himself. "They call me the one man band, because i can create the beat, write the lyrics, record hit songs, and professionally mix & master the songs all at once."
Now in 2012, D'nero is signed to a 3-album record deal with Reformatory Records, and has so far released his first single titled "Bottoms Up" which is now available on all major online music retail stores.
