Blue Eyed Grass

Blue Eyed Grass’ arrival on the Nashville music front has created a buzz that is quickly becoming a roots-flavored roar! This dynamic singing and writing duo is a unique blend of two distinctive talents, each having continuing success as a solo act. With names like Delnora and Jayron they were born to break the mold. Their musical influences range from the Celtic-tinged fiddle of the West Virginia mountains to the pure country music that still rises with the backroad’s dust in the small towns of northwest Georgia. Picture, if you will, the teaming of a Vince Gill and an Allison Kraus, singing edgy new songs that are the best fusion of “good-grass” and country. This duo will leave you haunted and wanting more. Together they are Blue Eyed Grass!

Delnora

Delnora has been performing across the country since she was 13 years old singing her unique style of country, folk, and bluegrass music. Her first album, entitled, “Delnora” was released when she was 16. The album caught the attention of STRAY FM DJ, Alan Potter, who was visiting the States from his native England. Alan’s show was picked up by Armed Forces Radio and, soon, “Delnora” was heard all over Europe.

While in College, Delnora traveled to Anaheim, California to compete in the MasterCard A.C.T.S. where she was named, one of ten, Best College Entertainers in America. Also, as part of the Miss America Organization, Delnora received the award for Best Talent and the first ever Spirit Award.

Although she was born in Wurzburg, Germany, while her father was serving in the military, Delnora grew up in Princeton, West Virginia. After college, she moved to the Nashville area. As a struggling artist, she has worn many hats. Delnora worked nights at the Ernest Tubb Troubadour Theatre making popcorn and running lights for the Patsy Cline show. While singing before one of the Midnight Jamboree shows she caught the eye of the Producer for the StarDust Theatre. It was at the StarDust that she performed as “Trisha Yearwood” four nights a week. Delnora also competed in the Miss Music City/ Miss Nashville Pageant where she was again awarded Best Talent, as well as the Public Relations Award, and Best Interview Award.

Along the journey, Delnora has recorded with two Major Record Labels; Dreamworks and RCA. She feels that, “The experience helped to shape who I am today and focus on what I want in the future. I have the honor of working with some of the most talented and respected musicians, songwriters and producers. I thank the Lord and count it a blessing.” Modestly put for someone working with hit makers like Jason Deere (SheDaisy- “I Will” – “Lucky for You (Tonight I’m Just Me - “Don’t Worry About A Thing”) Buck Moore & Gary Duffey (Tracy Lawrence “Paint Me A Birmingham”), and Leonard Ahlstrom (NewSong “Christmas Shoes”). Delnora has performed her songs at the BlueBird Café and Gibson Showcase among several other venues. She is right at home contributing as a vocalist on demo’s of almost every genre-classical, pop, country, bluegrass, and contemporary Christian.
