deepBluesecret came along as a counter balance to the force known as Tin Man. Both musical personalities are formed from the creative juices of one David Gregory Earl from Oakland CA. David began playing the trumpet at age nine, and piano at ten, in the California central valley. He discovered electronic music at age twelve, and became fascinated with synthesis and MIDI sequencing. After studying analog synthesis, jazz, classical piano, and touring the state with a brass ensemble, he dropped the trumpet and piano for an EPS 16+, and headed to the Bay Area. He scored several independant films, helped Lenny Williams, (formerly the singer for Tower of Power), with production, played funk and jazz keyboard all over the Bay Area, and honed his skills in the studio. After co-producing an EP for Artemis Robison, he retreated to the studio to prepare for his first release. As he began writing, two personalities, of very different style and feel, emerged. Tin Man; a quirky, tweaky, devilish character, and deepBluesecret, his more ambient, heavenly, submarine persona. Both alter-egos are to be released within the next year under RTFM records out of Oakland, CA.
