The Story of Blanche Davidian

Originally established in early 2001, Blanche Davidian practically locked themselves in the studio on a nightly basis for almost a year and a half before their live debut. They also isolated themselves from the status quo while focusing on songwriting, musicianship, and a unique concept. Jaime Monistat VII (ex-Potato), Mike Hawk (ex-The Sport Model), and Ozzy Osmond over-clocked themselves in the self-recording and self-producing of their debut album Attack of the Killer. This release showcased the combined musicianship and experience of the three original members, as well as the lyrical genius of Jamie Monistat VII and the "no shame" guitar work of Mike Hawk.

Since it's infancy as a performing band in 2002, Blanche Davidian has gained a reputation as one of the best and most visually pleasing live acts in the Southwest. The amount of local publicity the band has accumulated is unmatched with positive press in every newspaper, fanzine, and tabloid based out of Phoenix, AZ (and many national publications including Maximum Rocknroll, American Music Press, and Skratch). The notoriety earned the group an opportunity to perform at the 2004 SXSW Musical Festival in Austin, TX. Blanche Davidian also appeared at the 2004 Phoenix New Times Showcase (nominated for Best Hard Rock) and has shared the same stage with such nationals as Melt Banana, Supagroup, Bellrays, Black Halos, Jeff Dahl, & TSOL., Their music is best described as hot-rodded Euro-Rawk (Turbonegro, Motorhead) blended with Ole English Punk & New Wave (Damned, Public Image Ltd.) and American Psychedelic Noise-Rock (Flaming Lips, Butthole Surfers). Add some goth, glam, & metallic embellishments and you got the dark & persuasive sounds of Blanche Davidian.
