It is not real easy to impress people that have been around the music scene in Nashville for very long but DAVE RUSSELL can......and does!!

Growing up in NC, Dave a;ways knew he wanted to be a singer. Being from a small town, he did not really know how to “GET INTO”, the music scene. But, a friend of his sent a tape of Dave into Star Search. He made it onto the show, winning several championships during his run . From there, singing was to be his life.

Dave hit California in 2000 after honing his performance style in shows all over the country. Dave has performed in all the great live music areas such as Nashville, Branson, Texas, all over the South, and the Reno-Tahoe area. Dave has shared the stage with such greats as Tammy Wynette, George Jones, Chad Brock

It is not real easy to impress people that have been around the music scene in Nashville for very long but as Charlie Robison put it, Dave can and does!! Not bad for a good ole boy from California!! Well the secret of the real country attitude, true country twang and down home style is….. Dave grew up in rural North Carolina.

Growing up in NC, Dave was the youngest of 7 kids and at an early age knew he wanted to be a singer. He worked at it all the time but again, being from a small town, he did not really know how to “GET INTO”, the music scene. He opted to go the steady route with a job, car, place to live, and so forth. He was working for UPS, a job he had had since high school, when a friend sent his tape into Star Search. He was asked to audition and sure enough, he made it onto the show, winning several championships during his run on the show. From there, he knew he could never again be happy unless he was on stage singing.
