Christopher Loid

No one ever told Christopher Loid that life could be fun and easy. This country boy has always been a hard working guy. For some reason whether he was working construction, pouring cement, driving tow truck, or working in the Alaskan fish plants with his father, he always continued to try to fulfill his passion for doing music and performing.
Christopher Loid was born and raised in little towns through out Washington State. His mother always said that he was singing in the womb, but we know at the very least he started singing on stage with his mother at the little community church near Carnation, Washington at the tender young age of three years old. By the time Christopher turned eight years old he had started to travel with his mother and the Lighthouse singers. Through out middle school and high school he started into a new avenue of music. Instead of just singing he started learning to play the guitar and the trumpet.
At this point he started jumping at every chance to perform for people. About the age of sixteen Christopher started to play in the bars, pubs, and taverns through out Eastern Washington and Northeast Oregon. Loid also started to play gigs at bars during the Pendleton Round up and began to receive rave reviews from cowboys and cowgirls from all over the Northwest. When Christopher turned eighteen he took all the money he saved from working and playing bars and traveled to Portland, Oregon where he cut his first professional demo with the songs he wrote.
Christopher Loid then decided to travel. His travels took him all over the northwest, Tennessee, and landed him in Austin, Texas. He then traveled back to eastern Washington where he met his wife and new inspiration for his musical writings. After taking a break from music for a few years, Christopher’s heart started to long for his passion of music. So with the support of his wife and family they moved out to Vancouver, Washington where he started playing the bar scene in Portland/ Vancouver area. Not long after he moved, Loid met some people that helped him produce his next album. That single soon reached number one on the independent charts, which has helped Christopher to gain the support of the community of Clark County along with the support of the Mayor of Vancouver. Christopher also started receiving bigger and better events to play such as Fort Vancouver’s July Fourth Celebration, where there were 75,000-80,000 people in attendance.
Radio D.J.’s and reviewers have described Christopher Loid’s music as if you were to take your typical good ole’ country boy and mix it with your city grown, rough and tough Rock and Roll artist , you’ll have Christopher Loid. Loids rough and rugged exterior portrays a country boy renegade, but he has a heartwarming, charming, yet stern character. His influences are that of Travis Tritt, Charlie Daniels, and Willie Nelson.
After seeing Loids passion for music, his amazing stage presence, and heard his incredible vocal talent, who wouldn’t want to be his friend. He has since signed a record contract with Black Iron Records, a premier independent music label. With that Christopher Loid is excited to tell you to keep a watch out for his new release coming out in early summer of 2007
