BIO

For six years, his sweet tenor voice and steady drum skills propelled Brian into one of the most versatile musicians and vocalists in the Houston Latin music scene. That led to many appearances singing the National Anthem in most of Houston’s sporting venues, such as the Astrodome, the Compaq Center, and Minute Maid Field. After much encouragement, Brian took a much sought after opportunity to come out from behind the drum kit to front and form his own Latin band, "Tropi Crew". For three years, “Tropi Crew" built a strong following. In the summer of 2002, Brian released his debut CD, "Así Va, Así Es" on the Hacienda International label, the largest Hispanic independent record label in the US. His first single and video, "Así Va, Así Es" was released to radio, television, record pools, and clubs throughout the US and in Mexico. In November of that same year, Brian recorded the vocals for the Texas Lottery jingle and was featured in the TV commercial.Brian soon moved to LA to pursue his musical career. Through his good friend, Ignacio Elisavetsky, Brian had the opportunity to meet and work with Latin singer/songwriter, Alejandro Lerner, from Argentina. In 2003, Brian’s song, “Always You”, took third place in the Austin Songwriter’s Group Song Contest, and in 2004, his song, “Be All Alone”, was the monthly champion of the Makeastar.com competition, won first place for the month of May and was a finalist in the VH-1 songoftheyear.com competition, took second place in the Unisong International Song Contest, and was a semi-finalist in the 2005 UK International Song Contest. Most recently in September of 2005, Brian participated in recording with Alejandro Lerner, the background vocals for the theme song of the Spanish version of Disney's “Chicken Little”, which is scheduled for a November ’05 release. In the past, Brian has won several awards for his songwriting and vocal skills. From "Best Male Vocalist" awards, to “First Place” finishes in vocal competitions, to “Honorable Mentions” in the annual Billboard Songwriting Contest, Brian continues to show and demonstrate his persistence. Most recently, “No Me Niegues Tu Amor” is to be featured in the full- length motion picture comedy, “Outside Sales”, and the video for “Be All Alone” was a grand prizewinner in the Starclix.com Winter Blast Talent Search. As a current member of ASCAP, he was selected to perform his song, “Be All Alone”, for Desmond Child’s Songwriting Master Class at ASCAP’s first annual “I Create Music” EXPO held in Hollywood, CA.With the latest release of his bi-lingual videos, “Be All Alone” and “No Me Niegues Tu Amor”, Brian is ready to leave his mark on the music industry.
