The Hard Rock of “Place In The Day” hints of Guns ‘n Roses, where the Pop of “You Say” has been said to conjure up images of the Go-Gos or Gwen. Their moody side is shown on “Down”. One can not forget the Country-tinged “Sweet One And Only” or the full-on Bluegrass of “Oh, Ashley”. Melissa’s voice has been compared to various artists including Joan Jett, Karen Carpenter, Sheryl Crow & Stevie Nicks.
