Bona Fide - Cayman biography

The founding members of Bona Fide are Rennard Powell, Isadora Ferrao and Yannick Powell. All original music has been composed, written and produced by Bona Fide.

Rennard is a drummer and percussionist whose reputation precedes him. He has been a musician in Grand Cayman for almost 3 decades and grew up in the district of Bodden Town. His passion for drumming is as obvious in his performance as is his persistent practice (his sleepless neighbours from Cumber Avenue can tell a tale or two).

Isadora is a lead singer and pianist and has been performing publicly since she was 7 years old. A true entertainer, Isadora loves to dress the part to suit the genre of music and the event and create an ambience. She has been performing in Cayman for the past six years but started in Zimbabwe then England and now in Cayman.

Yannick is Rennard's eldest son and a talented saxophonist whose performance belies his years of experience. Yannick is the youngest and most versatile member playing the piano, drums and bass from time to time. He is also an avid producer and is in fact responsible for the production of all original work!

Bona Fide operates as a full live band (working with various musicians) consisting: drums, bass, keyboards, guitar, saxophone and lead vocals. They are driven by their passion to please their audience and united in their desire to resurrect the era of live performance to Cayman's music industry.
