Blunk Street Music is a modern, award-winning music company. We compose music & jingles for advertising and film (selling compositions to advertisers like General Motors, Mitsubishi, ACE Hardware and Nestle Corporation), engage in music consultation, and develop artists: co-write, produce, engineer and record music for our independent label, Blunk Street Music.

We excel in creating music tracks of any genre to fit your brand; no more lengthy music searches and record label licensing negotiations for over-priced bands. We'll compose the track from lyrics to final recording.

About the owners: :

Over the last 10 years, owners & composers Chris Plum and Jeff Hupp have collectively covered the world in supporting their brand of Detroit rock and roll.

Chris Plum, PH. D., the lead singer/songwriter for one of Detroit's most beloved bands "The Mood Elevator" (which included pop sensation Brendan Benson of 'the Raconteurs' fame), has provided music for The Detroit Redwings, performed music for commercials and has rocked late night television, as well as syndicated television shows. Chris has toured the world opening for bands like The White Stripes, Beth Orton, Sonic Youth and The Flaming Lips. He also appears in the now-legendary indie films, "It came from Detroit" and "Detroit Rock Movie." He has also contributed songs to various compilations, such as Plumline Records tribute to Canadian Rock Bands (2004), Startime International Records Supercuts (2003), and Groover Recordings Jeans and Summer compilation (2003).

Partner Jeff Hupp has played over the years with countless Detroit area bands and artists. As bass player in the semi-legendary Detroit band, "The Atomic Numbers", Jeff toured the States, and played major music festivals, including South by Southwest in Austin, TX, North by North by Northeast in Toronto, ONT, and CMJ Music Marathon in New York. Jeff has had music placed in several advertising campaigns, including the Budweiser "unsigned music search", and has had music appearing in film, within the Jeff Daniels 2001 movie "Supersuckers." Jeff has also worked in the Detroit advertising world for over 15 years, working for J. Walter Thompson, Yahoo! & is VP of Business Operations for the Digital signage start-up; Destination Media.
