I can't wear high heels. It's because of this predicament I have been forced to focus on writing lyrics and melodies to grab an audience's attention - not fancy dances or flashy outfits. I just have a beat up piano I've been writing on since I was 14.

I wish I could say I'm a highly trained classical pianist. Unfortunately, I can't. As a teenager, I was more interested in King, Joel, and Folds ... not Bach, Mozart, or Liszt. So while I took a couple of years of lessons, the bulk of my training came from trying to figure out how to rock the suburbs.

I'm only 21, so I hate using the phrase "I grew up in.." because I still feel like I'm growing up. With this said though, I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. Through high school I performed in cafes and lied about my age to perform in bars (Classy, I know).

I am currently studying Music Business at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Here, I've really learned about the craft of songwriting. While pop is my main focus, I have had the opportunity to co-write country, rock, and dance-pop with some amazing artists. My dream is to write for other people, but also perform myself.
