Art & Nancy Ruprecht

For twenty years, Art has played music in many different settings across the St. Louis area ranging from country to hard-rock to jazz. A player of many instruments, he is most accomplished on the guitar and ranks in the upper echelon of local musicians. Art also donates his talents to local churches, aiding and abetting the worship of hundreds of parishioners in central Missouri. His diversity is invaluable to the typical congregation with limited resources. He has produced a multitude of accompaniment tracks for church singers, as well as secular projects for live and studio application.

Over the last ten years, he and his wife, Nancy, have developed as worship leaders at New Covenant Church, a 700-member church in west St. Louis county. Nancy?s strong alto crooning is truly an inspirational force during services as well as her ability as a keyboardist.

In the fall of 2003 they released their first CD: ?All Is Well?. The song(s) contained herein are reflective of their deep Christian faith and adherence to sound doctrine in the lyrical content.

In addition to New Covenant Church, Art and Nancy have ministered at Rivers Of Life Church, Messiah Lutheran, Hidden Heart Ministries, Mission Gate Prison Fellowship and many other Christian gathering places in Missouri and Illinois. Their live renditions echo the high level of musicianship evident on their recordings.

At age eighteen, Art Ruprecht took up the guitar and hasn't put it down since. As one of the most respected musicians in the St. Louis area, his varied influences range from Ricky Scaggs to George Benson . When area band leaders are looking for a versatile player, they are apt to call on Art to meet their need.

Benefiting greatly from Berklee School of Music courses as a teenager, Art increased his technical knowledge while drums remained his primary instrument. The result of a love affair with bluegrass yielded his meteoric development on the violin, mandolin and banjo, as well as the guitar, which would serve him well over the years to come. Warming up for the likes of Pure Prairie League, Earl Scruggs and Vassar Clements, he moved into other styles, especially the jazz and R&B genres.

Art has performed regularly with acts based primarily in the Midwest region of the United States including The Facts Of Life, 40 West, Encore Entertainment, Galaxy Productions, Phoenix, Rhythm Of The Night, The Art & Nancy duo and many others.
