Art was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit. He toured most of Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio while maintaining straight A's in music theory and composition, while working on his degree in Music Education at Eastern Michigan University. "Who needs sleep?" Relocating to Los Angeles, he performed in a multitude of original and cover bands all around California, Nevada, and Arizona. TArt has returned with a vengeance and a "do whatever it takes" attitude, to the Los Angeles music scene playing all the instruments on his demos and performing live with his band, "The New Picasso's", tearing up places with energetic performances in 2009 at places like The Whisky A Go Go and The Cat Club, performing new songs, and rebuilding a solid fan base of all ages. Besides writing for himself and the New Picasso's, he hopes to add to his catalog by breaking into the TV/Film soundtrack world, scoring not only rock, but new age jazz, and orchestral pieces as well.

Art was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit. Growing up in a highly competitive musical environment, he played in the Detroit based band the Maxx, and opening for performers like The Police, The Motels, the Joe Perry Project, and the Kings. He toured most of Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio while maintaining straight A's in music theory and composition, while working on his degree in Music Education at Eastern Michigan University. "Who needs sleep?" Relocating to Los Angeles, he performed in a multitude of original and cover bands all around California, Nevada, and Arizona. Taking time off to raise a family, he took a break from the hectic touring (and financial) rollercoaster in order to "do it right". But now, kids grown, and with new found freedom and passion, Art has returned with a vengeance and a "do whatever it takes" attitude, to the Los Angeles music scene playing all the instruments on his demos and performing live with his band, "The New Picasso's", tearing up places with energetic performances in 2009 at places like The Whisky A Go Go and The Cat Club, performing new songs, and rebuilding a solid fan base of all ages.
