Aron Van Alstine's style is like grunge with polish. He seamlessly integrates elements of punk, bebop, motown, urban folk, and you-name-it into alternative rock. Sometimes earnest, sometimes ironic, his songwriting is full of surprises. Combine that with the power, the dynamics, and the shear enthusiasm of The Guildsmen, and you get music that is both gritty and uplifting. http://aronvanalstine.com

thanx Aron for you review of Solo Dream, yeah, it turned out more like Floyd than on my acoustic, but hey, that's cool with me, not a copy...your words on the vocal are well, encouraging--i'm an old guy, so i'll accept it as a compliment...LOL...your comments on more reverb on the synth are eery--i had my producer knock it down, as it was clouding the rest of the mix, but it's on my upcoming album, and i'm satisfied--oh album title aptly No Formal Training...true...my producer plays the instruments, thought opening and closing triangle are all mine baby...LOL..thanx again, your comments though not perfectly satisfying, are pretty damned accurate, nice job.
