Annie

The burgeoning talent of Annie D. has caught the attention of some of the music industry's biggest names. Currently in the studios with Anthony Fernandez of Miami Pop Stars in conjunction with Dreamkatcher, Annie D.'s fresh and stunning vocals resonate with a depth and conscience much wiser than her year's.
The well-traveled child of a military family, Annie D. was born February 15, 1993 to James and Mary Davis. She is the youngest of their four children. It was through the ever-present creative influence of her older siblings, Heather, born in 1978, Olivia, born in 1984, and Jacob, born 1989, that Annie D. learned to seek music and writing as her primary creative outlets.
Not long after she was able to speak, Annie D. learned to express her immense and growing desire to sing. Entertaining her family late into the evening hours, her incredible talent was easily apparent. It was as if she were born to grace the stage.
As young as eight years of age, Annie excelled at a variety of performing arts. The Tony Award winning vocal performer Karla Burns immediately saw the potential to train Annie D. at both vocal performance and stage acting. It was under her tutelage that Annie first performed stunning Broadway tunes. The strength and stage presence she garnered throughout the years allowed her to secure roles in other musicals such as Bye Bye Birdie, How to Eat Like a Child, and The Wizard of Oz.
Inevitably, Annie D. began working on the strength of her solo vocal performance with The Pop Shop. After years of both commercial and charity performance events with The Pop Shop, Annie D. was sought out by local organizations to perform at numerous events. A frequent request made of Annie has been the National Anthem--exhibiting her breath-taking vocal range and maturity.
As her interest and skill as a solo performer continued to blossom, Annie D. became a regular student of one of the music industry's greatest vocal teachers. Coaching such mainstream pop stars as Britney Spears, N'Sync, and the Backstreet Boys, Mark Goff pushed Annie's vocal skills to a more sophisticated, resounding level. Annie is also training with Ginny Kopf, a voice and speech instructor who coaches Annie on all the aspects of singing and performing. Even as she is working with production artists, she continues to seek their council for musical guidance and improvement.
Although Annie D.'s vocal strengths are a major part of her success, it is her dedication to constant improvement as a performer that allows her to stand apart from the many pop star hopefuls. Throughout the years, she has constantly attended both acting, with Ann Hering and at the Lisa Maile Acting School, and dance lessons. While she has primarily focused on modern hip-hop, jazz and funk, Annie D. continually seeks to broaden her skills by attending such traditional classes as theater monologues and ballet with Peter and Margaret Anthony at Spotlight Dance Center.
Annie D.'s current single with Miami Pop Stars, Angel, is still in production, but already has the ear of several investors, promoters and fashion icons. The crystal-clear delivery of emotionally complex lyrics sets the tone for her future materials. Despite Annie's age, she continues to write her own fascinating and emotionally gripping lyrics.
Annie D. is only at just the beginning of a long and exciting career in the music industry. Like several of her past songs under production, Rejected and Mixed Up Girl, her vocals and lyrics will continue to carry a resonating power and complexity that is easily appreciated with mass appeal.
