Evolectrik blends the rock guitar and and raw vocals of recording artist Shireen Krelle with the pounding beats and edgy synths of various San Francisco house producers. Shireen grew up as a rock purist but started experimenting with dance music in San Francisco after friends introduced her to the area's clubs, boat parties and outdoor raves. On the dance floors, boat decks, parks and meadows of the area she got inspired by the power of electronic music to move people. But she also missed guitars, rock-style vocals and more traditional song structures. So she began combining the genres...

Shireen's passions are writing and singing; some of her favorite songwriters are PJ Harvey, Jim Carroll, Kurt Cobain, Iggy Pop, Frank Black and Liz Phair. The songs you are hearing were constructed using guitar, drum machines, synths, live percussion, layered vocals, well crafted lyrics, grit and driving grooves.
