Get to know me
Since a kid i've always been around music mostly because my father played older jazz records from the likes of George Duke ,George Benson,Quincy Jones,Grover Washington Jr etc. I grew up in East Orange,NJ 16th Street & i've experienced what the HOOD can offer a young mind,from the violence to the destruction of individuals thru drugs especially the crack era which targeted the ghetto.I was fortunate to have a father, a loving aunt & grandparents who understood that plight & they did their best to keep me away from the streets.I appreciate & love them for that because i'm still here.A soldier to my understanding is being a survivor of all the pitfalls life has put infront of me,to be wise enough to delegate whats good for my wellbeing so i can have a family, raise children and protect my cipher ..now thats gangsta..besides getting invovled with atheletics...when my father used to discipline me (for which i'm thankful) as a time out to slowdown no TV.. i was forced to read.I was facinated by what I learned in books because the hood could teach u so much.It took my mind to new levels and sparked my writing abilities,I was about 10,I used to write just to rhyme also around the same time i played the clarinet & learned how to manipulate notes to my feel of the music in which i transferred to my writing.I was mostly inspired by MC's who had the park jams & streets on lock 1986 era like T La Rock 'It's yours",Marley Marl & MC SHAN "Marley Scratch,the bridge" LL COOL J "Dangerous,Rock the Bells" RUN DMC "Jam Master J (RIP) Daryl & Joe etc ..then came Kool G Rap ,KANE,RAKIM, NAS ,CORMEGA and eras after.Lyrical Depth and Agility is what fuels my desire.THE GZA hands down is the excellence of execution& the WU were the epitomy of supergroups.With all these things happening in music i believe the most successful and greats are amongst us in the living world and many unborn.Never will i try to live on the name of a fallen soldier,I may not even have known them personally ie PAC ,BIGGIE,BIG L .They created foundations and opportunities and we must add on.In truth if we continue to live in the past,we will become the past.I'm an individual that has to live now to create change.From my adolescent years to early adulthood i did my thing,made money went to college,trade school for auto mechanics ..did that a minute but wasnt satisfied.When my G-Ma passed in my arms my world was destroyed & gave birth to that hidden anger.I didn't have regard for much then,after about 6months of circles and conflicts i decided life was becoming deadend so i left and did 5 years in the military & thru the experiences and time away i grew and understood things on a different plane.I built with many GODs & Earths and learned my Inner G.I became well diverse in any environment or topic thus ressurecting my writing & rhyme abilities.In Korea for a year i had a squad called ILL KLIK in which it was more finding my square,we put out tapes and were well recieved.I returned to the states in 95 formed a squad called "Universoul Soldiers"which eventually became "The Headtuchaz".We toured with various hip hop groups in which put me in tune with my wu fam thru Wisdom & Blue Raspberry of whom turned me on to more fam.After bad deals and setbacks I set out on my own recorded projects & hit the road with Dom Pachino (PR Terrorist) and we built from there on an endeavor off shoot from KILLARMY known as TEAM NAPALM .Since releasing Napalm World in Jan 05 we've gotten pub on all Wu affiliated sites especially with support from G-Clef at Chambrmusik whom services our albums thru on demand distribution.This year look for mutiple releases from our camp.1 thing to remember whether u think you a gangster,pimp,ho,thug remember GOD only sees you as human.I'm none of the foremost mentioned,i'm me being myself ain't nothin greater you can love me or leave me alone feel me,the world is yours...so as these days continue acknowledge GOD 1st ..peep my music get to know me PEACE
