In the late summer of 2003, singer/songwriter Katie Morris walked into Cello Studios on the Sunset Strip armed with a lot of self-determination and an acoustic guitar. Through a close friend’s recommendation Katie met with producers Padraic Coursey and Ted Greenberg. Instantly, a connection was made and the three decided to work together. The new team worked hard and in the following months they would create a Rock album with heavy guitars, impassioned lyrics, and radio ready melodies. With influences ranging from Nirvana to Janis Joplin, the trio created a sound screaming with pure Rock n’ Roll passion.

With influences ranging from Nirvana to Janis Joplin, the trio created a sound screaming with pure Rock n’ Roll passion.
After completion of the CD, We the Living, Katie wasted no time in securing a place for her band in several venues on the Sunset Strip. Within a month of completing the self released CD, Katie Morris had shows lined up at the Viper Room, the Whisky, the Hard Rock Café, the Cat Club, and the Gig. AND Katie Morris secured a residency at the Cat Club playing every Friday with some of the best up and coming bands in LA.
Known well for her energetic live performances, Katie Morris is making a place for herself in the LA music scene one club at a time. With a strong presence among the online music community, Katie continues to push forward in taking her music to new heights and to new ears. Her outlook on life and her music, is prominently displayed across her lower back in the form of a Kanji tattoo. It translates to: with determination and purpose, anything can be achieved.
