Born September 2nd 1989, David Michael Ross in Painesville OH, fifth child of Richard and Susan Ross. At only twenty months, young David was diagnosed with Acute Lymphositic Leukemia and for the next three years of his life David was treated at Ireland Cancer Center Rainbow Babies and Children's hospital in Cleveland, OH. He completed his treatments and was able to begin Kindergarten as a "almost normal" child. He has since then been fully in remission and cancer free. This life threatening event in his young life has now inspired him to live out his dreams and give a portion of his proceeds to help other children and their families fight their battle with A.L.L.
At the age of 13 David began playing piano as well as writing his own music. Quiet early on it was apparent David had been gifted.
In 2007 Dave picked up a guitar for the first time and immediately started writing and playing amazing songs. At age eighteen when his mother's child support ended, they were forced to move into a home that had been abandoned by another sibling, while his brother in law had gone into the Army. The only saving grace that enabled them to stay in the home was the "Solider Sailor Relief Act". The house was not able to be foreclosed on while the brother in law was in Iraq (This inspired Dave's song entitled "A Soldier's Song"). Without enough income to even buy heating oil a friend of the family provided wood for a small wood stove in the house ( this inspired a song called "A Way For Us" that is a real life story that portrays how they lived at that time).
Then, in 2008 Mrs. Ross, having complete faith in her son's music ability spent all she had to get her son to the studio and record "Somewhere New". With his Label, Devyn Records and Management Company, LIV Music Management, they brought the single to Universal in Canada and they loved the single. Major Radio in Canada has begun to play the song daily.He has shot his first music video and is beginning to play out with his band. This is one artist that has a bright future ahead of him. Dave Ross' life is a story of hope, faith, and inspiration.
