Formed in 2002, Barefaced Liar is an amalgamation of the distinct and eclectic musical taste of its members, Akshay Chowdhry (Vocals, Guitars), Sumant Balakrishnan (Guitars, Backing Vocals) and Dushyant Purohit (Bass)and Bhim Kaul(Drums)
Based out of a country and culture that is still embracing the concept of rock 'n roll and live music , BFL has worked passionately on honing their craft over the past few years. The band has done dozens of studio sessions that have yielded positive results- besides gaining vital experience , one of their tracks- 'Carnation' that was recorded in 2004, has been featured on several compilations in India as well as an upcoming artists compilation in Los Angeles. They have won battle of the band competitions in different parts of the country. With a twin guitar offensive, haunting basslines and thumping rhythms, Barefaced Liar is all set to impress. Most recently, the band has recorded new tracks with producer Zorran Mendonsa from New Zealand who has given the songs the treatment they deserve. Look out for more from BFL soon.
