Lyrics

What did I say?
Did it hurt what I mentioned
What did I say?
Why'd you take it so hard?

What did I say?
Didn't know my intention
What did I say?
Let me know who you are

(Chorus)
Connection
Is where I hope to be
Connection
Would you be true to me?
Connection
Please open up your heart
If you keep on playing games
We'll fall apart

What did you say?
'cause I just couldn't hear you
What did you say?
Did you ask for a hand?

What did you say?
'cause I don't want to hurt you
What did you say?
'cause I just don't understand?

(Chorus)

(Bridge)
What's that you say?
Do you need to shout
Is the world weighing on you
But the words just won't come out
That's not the way
Are you filled with doubt
'cause I'm right here, an open ear
So go on and let it out
...That's what I say

(solo)

(refrain)
That's what I say...It's not souffle...just say, don't spray...vitamin k...papier-mache...Chesapeake bay...

Guitar was cool

good hook/title. this tune has potential with better production/demo. like the guitar work.

This has all the elements of a good pop/rock song. Loved the instrumentation and the vocal presentation, especially the rhyming at the end.

Unique. Like the vibe. I connect to this song

Great song about communication. You stuck with your subject and your structure. Fun how you kicked in to full band mode and distorted guitar in the middle of the song. Kind of mirrors how communication sometimes blows up when people get angry. Probably the weakest/least original line is: Would you be true to me, but you get away with it. I like your high tenor connection hook. It's nearly right on with pitch, but something sounded a tad iffy there.

very nice how this song opens up from a blues beginning. Very good vocals. enjoyed the song.

Interesting groove, it definitely grows on you. Quite a variety of timbers and emotion conveyed.

The chorus worked realy well. I loved the voice when it went into the higher register. Nice electric guitar. Stong melody.
