Story Behind The Song
As a teen, I Traveled from Nashville Tn. to Knoxville Tn. one summer with a friend, and was in total awe of the Appalachian mountains. My 1st hick to the Chimney Top's, never left my mind. I finally put my accumulated thoughts into this song.
Song Description
I will never forget my first look at the Appalachian Mountain's. The wonderment, the beauty ,when I was in my teens, only later to discover that they were one of the Oldest mountain ranges in the world. That led my mind thru time travel, to think what it would have been like to be a pioneer in early settlement day's, Horse back riding thru the valley's, living in log cabin's till today. Survival in the Great Smoky Mountains.
