Lyrics

Prodigal Son
©2017 Greg Lambert

He packed his bags and rode west
He played his hand too close to his vest
Lost it all, and then some more
Remembered how it was before

His father saw from far away
A trail of dust from a love betrayed
A soul so lost and forlorn
A wayward son coming home

Chorus

Put a ring on his finger
And sandals on his feet
The finest robe across his shoulders
He was lost
Now he's found
His new life has just begun
Prodigal son

Bridge

Somewhere down the road
We'll meet again
In Heaven's vast array

The time will surely come
Only God knows when
But for now let's celebrate this day

Chorus

I like the length of the intro and the instrumentals' between verses and chorus. Many new songs seem to have much too long areas to my liking.

The artist has a very pleasant voice that makes me want to hear more of his music.

I enjoyed the instrumentation. Seems to be a good mix of musicians.
