Lyrics
Tupelo Rob Jones Mike King Sandra Jones
When I dream there's a little town where I go
South of Memphis a couple of hours or so
It's my sanctuary
A place I can rest my soul
I used to swing out from that old gum tree
Barefoot and ten Billy Becky and me
My favorite memories
Down at that old muddy creek
(Chorus)
Nobody asks me no questions Don't care where I been
They're just so glad to see glad I'm back again
I can't wait to go
Oh, Oh, Down to Tupelo
So much love friendly people they were everywhere
But at eighteen couldn't wait to get out of there
Away from that small town
What I missed now is oh so clear
Chorus
(Tag)
It's just over the hill I'm almost home
