Story Behind The Song
On a lads holiday with friends we met some girls in our hotel from down south (us being northern) and we asked them if they would like to come out with us one night they all turned to each other and said "come on girls we're all getting on the Steam Train To Leansville Tonight" We didn't understand the phrase so we asked and they explained it mean't getting blind steaming drunk!
They use it regularly, we asked about it some more and they said when they have had a tough day or week its the natural thing to do to forget your troubles and go out and get drunk or get on the Steam train to leasville.
So I thought i'd take the phrase and write this song about forgetting your troubles and having a good time.

Lyrics
Sitting in the sun, nothing getting done,
But i don't mind the birds still fly, like their life has just begun,
Out come the drinks, and friends they smile you feel the night time passing by, it's like the fourth of July,
Chorus
Here we go! holding friends close
Living life like there's no tomorrow
Take advantage of your free will,
And board the Steam Train To Leansville (x2)
Life can get you down, but with friends and booze around,
Don't have to think, just grab a drink and make the party sound,
The night will pass you by, everybody on a high and feeling fine,
To play is the only way,
Chorus (x2)
Da da dada dadada
Dada da dada dadada
Dada da dada da da
Dada da dada da da
Chooo Whooo!
Choooo oo oo oo
Chorus (x3)
Steam Train to Leasville (x4)
Choo oo
