Story Behind The Song
Two people meet and fall in love one summer. It was love at first sight, like an cliche movie scene from old- time Hollywood, and they spend all their time together in bliss. They "click" and think they are meant to be, but then soon realize that their relationship was based on a fantasy-like idea of love, a show for the cameras, but with no substance. Cliche romance. Starry nights. Innocent youth. Passion and drama, with that spark that so many dream of, but it cannot last, like a typical Hollywood romance that is so caught up with image that they begin to see that everything isn't what it seems and that it cannot last. Their relationship ends, and so they are left only to reminisce about their passionate affair as the years go on, feeling so strongly that it feels like it just happened yesterday. You never forget your first passionate romance or first love, no matter how much time has gone by.
Song Description
This is an upbeat song that makes you want to whip out your beehive and get up and dance like it's 1962. The song opens with a cinematic-like orchestration with an old time radio filter reminiscent of an old Hollywood film. It then transforms into a modern sound with funky dance beat, with retro themes throughout while simultaneously keeping that orchestral feel. Stylistically reminiscent of the "wall of sound" as well as 1950's and 60's doo-wop and Motown, or musicals such as "Hairspray", with a modern edge. The interlude has a heavily cinematic feel combined that leads into a final chorus with retro vocal riffs, coming to a dramatic end with retro filtered vocal hanging just past the final note. This song has a variety of elements ranging from cinematic to retro pop, with even a dash of Broadway.

Lyrics
I remember it like it was yesterday
Seeing in you that small cafe
Somethin' about the way our eyes met
Like a scene from an old-time movie
Spending our days being so carefree
A summer of love I will never forget
With your name in lights on a big marquee
You had me wrapped up in your mystery,
uh-oh oh oh
We had the spark that dreams are made of
With a little help from the stars above
We fit together like hand in glove
A Hollywood version of love
Just a Tinseltown kind of romance
When the camera was rolling we did the dance
We never stood a ghost of a chance
A Hollywood version of love
Just a heartbeat away from paradise
An affair to remember but we paid the price
Living our lives in a fantasy
Smoke and mirrors and blinding lights
The illusion of innocence and starry nights
Now I'm haunted by a memory
With your name in lights on a big marquee
You had me wrapped up in your mystery, uh-oh oh oh
We had the spark that dreams are made of
With a little help from the stars above
We fit together like hand in glove
A Hollywood version of love
Just a Tinseltown kind of romance
When the camera was rolling we did the dance
We never stood a ghost of a chance
A Hollywood version of love
INTERLUDE
Woah-woah-woah
oooh aaahhhh
No, No, No, No
We had the spark that dreams are made of
With a little help from the stars above
We fit together like hand in glove
A Hollywood version of Love
Just a Tinseltown kind of romance
When the camera was rolling we did the dance
We never stood a ghost of a chance
A Hollywood version of love
We had the spark that dreams are made of
(I remember it like it was yesterday)
With a little help from the stars above
We fit together like hand in glove
(Seeing you in that small cafe)
A Hollywood version of Love
Just a Tinseltown kind of romance
When the camera was rolling we did the dance
We never stood a ghost of a chance
A Hollywood version of love
