Song Description

More of a fictional expose of feelings. I imagined how it must've felt taking your child to school never dreaming this would be the last you'd ever see them

Story Behind the Song

This is an imagined feeling brought about by how the Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting made me feel.

The into was very nice, you have a lovely voice. The lyrics had a good rhyme scheme and a good structure. I thought it was sang with lots of emotion that made it very pretty.

Like the thought-provoking lyrics and the sparse approach of piano and vocal. Reminds me of the Burt Bachcarach & Hal David songs. Vocals work well with this song.

    - Wayne Ammons

Waiting in cold rain the school bus was late that day
Sullen faces looking out the window
We had an argument for what I can't remember
Those memories now scatter like doves

...Spirits flow like curtains blow in summer winds
Still they reveal no secrets
I turned to wave but the wheels started turning
Relive that instant frozen in time

Staring through raindrops (On days)
when the rain stops
And all the heartbreaks blow away
I find myself ...staring through windows
I find myself ...drawn to this window
there where reflections go

An instant trapped in eternity
Floating away
Until it's gone

Staring at emptiness
Particles floating in light beams
Like words we said or should've said
Hanging in mid air aimless floating
Echoes in my reflection
