Story Behind The Song
I think about how hard we work to lock down that one person who makes us feel like no-one else. At the beginning it seems like such a challenge, but then with time it becomes an equal struggle for the upper hand. When it's all over, the person who seeked to start everything in the first place is not telling the object of his/her affection that they'll be just fine on their own. This song comes from my own experience in relationships. There are positives and negatives, but most importantly, we can't forget that all we really need is ourselves. Having confidence yourself can only make everything you experience that much more fulfilling. That's where this song came from.
Song Description
It's a song about looking back at a relationship after it's gone downhill and telling the person you once courted to just depend on his/herself because they know that they'll always be there. It's both sad and inspirational.

Lyrics
Verse 1:
Did you think I'd every know your name?
Did you think I'd ever make you smile?
Did you know you'd never feel the same?
Sometimes indecision's to blame...
Verse 2:
Did you think I'd ever hold your hand?
Or Maybe even try to understand?
Couldn't see the writing on the wall?
Our time so sublime and all...
Chorus:
All that you know will come and go, but it will be alright.
Surely depend upon yourself, you you'll always be around.
Verse 3:
Did you think I'd ever make you cry?
Or maybe even stop to wonder why?
Did you think I'd ever come around?
And plant my floatin' feet on steady ground...
And plant familiar feet in...
