There's a gingerbread landscape frosted with snow
And chocolate chip cookies warm from the stove
The days all get shorter as Christmas gets closer
And soon it will be Christmas Eve.

There are lights brightly gleaming in the town square
Where shoppers are greeted with music on air
And Santa will wave from the Christmas parade
And soon it will be Christmas Eve.

Every child dreams of magical things
Every child dreams of what Santa brings
With visions of presents and flying reindeer
And Bright Christmas paper scattered everywhere

Oh that evening of evenings when everything glows
When the earth lies in beauty in a blanket of snow
There'll be mistletoe kisses 'tween misters and misses
