Song Description

The song consists of two tempos that provide 2 different feelings. The first is in a slower tempo with a simple yet emotionally provocative sound and feeling, punctuated by tone, lyrics, and mellow yet sad and somewhat haunting slide guitar part. The first part tends to captivate listeners reaching a climax at the slide guitar part witch is also the turn around. While emotionally captivating the first section is shorter than the second part of the song. in the second part there is a change in tempo and chord progression. yet while a different chord progression it is simple being only 3 chords 1-7-2. the 2 being a minor chord. this section of the song provides a feeling of stick to it determination against all odds, sink or swim point of view on accepting ones destiny and or path in life. it has a feeling of determination, accepting past vices and moving on. Accepting the past present and future the good and bad touching a common thread with all human beings and there paths in life. this sec is punctuated by the climatic blistering piano solo. there this song is very user friendly and has many ways it can be spliced and arranged, faded in and faded out, works good being played loudly or played softly in the background. liked by both males and females. The second part has somewhat of a rock anthem feel. It is link to a common thread in all human beings with a feeling of accepting your destiny

Lyrics

What would you do if I said I loved you well
would you get up and walk out on me

What would you say if I came over well
would you call your man on me

What would you think if I called you on the phone
would you think I had to much to drink

What did you want when I then told you that I
followed you to your hilltop spring

and I cried
we died
your eyes
don't recognize

whiskey woman and whites
you have been a friend of mine

talkin bout whiskey woman and whites
don't you let me down tonight

whiskey woman and whites
you have been a friend of mine

talkin bout whiskey woman and whites
don't you let me down tonight

(repeat) several times
