The Free Train Agreement

Story Behind The Song

We wanted to write a song that would contribute to the debate about the fact that we have to change if we want a future for our children and for our planet. The Free Train Agreement is a song about change, letting go of materialism and embracing those things in life that are truly free and available from within. The Free Train Agreement from the CD "Dead Catz Can Bounce" as performed by The Blues Preachers is to be released later this year on a Canadian compilation entitled "Protest Songs For A Better World".

Song Description

The Free Train Agreement is a hopeful song that highlights on one hand the amazing things in life that are free and available to us if we want them and on the other hand what could happen to the planet if we continue to operate from a selfish and dysfunctional position. Get On Board!!!

Lyrics

The Free Train Agreement

Written by: John Morris And Craig Lyons

Throw your arms way up high,
Grab me momma and make me fly
Mother and father brother sister too,
tell you what we're gonna do

White man black man yellow and brown,
it don't matter just come on down
Brother John and Captain Bluetongue,
everybody got to get along

Chorus
ALL ABOARD x2
Get on board x4 The Free Train get on board

RAP
Well all you people of every nation,
there's a train a coming to your station.
Well you don't need no luggage and you don't need to pack,
Don't need no Ticket to ride on this track

Lookey here and lookey there,
everybody wants to be treated fair
Build a house and buy a car,
live life in a cookie jar

They'll blow you up and blow you down,
turn you in and turn you 'round
What we need is a new old way,
and everybody sails through judgment day

Chorus x2

This train is bound for Glory This Train.
This Train is now terminating All out or change.
