Song Description

It is a song dedicated to the exploited, abused and forgotten children of the streets of any given Latin American country. It is a reminder that something must be done to stop the inhumane daily exploitation, abuse and neglect of our children. My mission and vision for this song is to touch hearts and move people into action and change.

Story Behind the Song

I literally wrote this song in a dream. I had a dream, or I should call it nightmare. I was a mother of a 7 year old boy, and I was seeing him off to school, we were kissing goodbye, and as he got on the school bus, I was sent to an alternate reality timeline. From here, I suddenly saw my same child, begging on the streets, dirty, hungry, obvioulsly neglected and exploited, trying to survive the dangerous streets of an empoverished latin third world country. I was desperately trying to get him out of that reality, yelling and calling thru what appeared to be an untresspassable glass, which only allowed me to view but not to interfere. I saw my 7 year old unprotected and being abused without being able to do anything about it. When I woke up in a jolt, I found myself writing this song in like a twilight sleep state. I grabbed my phone recorder that was next to me and the words just kept pouring out of me like magic!! That was how "No se porque" was written. It not only intends to raise awareness and move people's hearts into action. I can provide you with lyrics translation. This song was nominated for the Best Humanitarian song of the year award by the OUT Music awards ew York City Dec 1st and was produced by LA producer David Snow.

Lyrics

Pedro tiene siete anos
pero descalzos van sus pies
No sabe de cuentos de hadas
solo le duele su ninez

Donde estaran los Reyes Magos
tal vez dormidos como el,
a veces en el subterraneo
saciando su hambre en un anden, anden...

No se porque, no se porque
estas llorando, estas sufriendo,
no se porque guardar silencio...

No se porque, no se porque,
tienes hambre, tienes frio

tienes hambre, tienes frio
con tanto sol con tanto trigo
No se porque, no se porque
No se porque, no se porque
