Story Behind The Song

This song started off as a simple poem (a haiku, to be exact), and soon after, evolved into a song. This is a favorite song at shows and parties, mostly because of the fun groove and the group vocals.

Song Description

Starting off with acoustic guitar, vocals, and congas, the immediate mood conveyed is peaceful and happy. Halfway through the first verse, the wurlitzer enters and the guitar parts start layering, making for a groovy change of pace. Soon after that, the drums kick in and bring in the chorus with a bang. By the middle of the song, the group vocals enter, along with hand claps and a full-out rockin' bridge. A brief respite takes over after the bridge, when the song strips down to solo vocal and guitar. Then the whole party starts again for one last chorus before closing the song in the same way it began. Overall, the song is upbeat and fun, and makes people want to dance and sing along.
