News

I have just finished producing a wonderful new CD for Randy Brown ( www.brownrandy.com) called "Dream Big". It's been a big success thanks to Randy's great songwriting, guitar playing and singing. Randy was great to work with and asked me to play clarinet, fiddle, mandolin, guitar and percussion on the album as well as producing.
I am also just about finished producing a CD for The Trinity River Whalers (www.trinityriverwhalers.com), the fabulous folk group from Ft. Worth.

Description

Short Description of Song

2006 was a Dog Year in the Chinese calendar

Long Description of Song

2006 is a Dog Year in the Chinese calendar--not usually the best for those born in the year of the dragon like my wife, Christy. This year has had a few challenges for her so I wrote this song to shore her up a bit.

Lyrics

Dog Year
Words and music by Gordon McLeod beyondthepale@tyler.net 903 592 5925

Chorus:
This Dog Year baby won’t get us down, get us down, get us down,
Just hold on tho the love we’ve found, there’s nothin’ that we’re lackin’
This Dog Year baby won’t get us down, get us down, get us down,
And if the blues comes around our love will send it packin’

Verse 1:
I love you baby hold on to my heart, for your heart is the best one.
There’s nothin’ that can keep us apart in this world or the next one.

Chorus

Verse 2:
When good news is so hard to find and trouble’s all around us,
We’ll tighten up the tie that binds, thank the stars that love has found us.

Chorus

Verse 3
And if you ever feel afraid of storms that you can’t weather,
Remember all the love we made and true love lasts forever

Chorus
