Story Behind The Song

When he was 19 years old, Douglas J. Ebaugh wrote this song for a girl for Valentine's day. He had only known the girl for two weeks, and the relationship was at a stage where she would have been offended had he not gotten her a little something as a gift. So, clever Douglas decided to write her a song not only to swoon her, but to save some money as well. In the end, she adored the song Douglas wrote for her... but not enough to adore Douglas and stick around.
