Story Behind The Song
This song was actually an answer to a prayer. I was graduating college and I didn't know if I should pursue a career or music. As I went to bed I prayed to god for a sign. That night I had a dream where I went to Paul McCartney's house to jam with him. We sat down together at the piano where and jammed on one of his songs. He suddenly stopped and said "Thank you." As I was walking to the door he sang in my ear, "There's a girl named Maggy Dane, jogging by my house every day." I immediately woke up and wrote the song in ten minutes. I have been pursuing music ever since.

Lyrics
There's a girl named Maggy Dane.
Jogging by my house everyday.
And now it would seem all right,
to stop her but I don't know what to say.
But maybe if I lay down in the middle of the street,
she'd stop and check to see if my heart still had a beat.
There's got to be a way to get this girl to notice me.
I'm such a fool, I'm such a fool.
Now this girl she dazzles me.
Moves like a kinetic symphony.
It's like she's running on air
leaving me standing here on the ground.
But maybe if I chased her she just might give me a glance.
Maybe if I tripped her she just might give me chance.
There's got to be a way to get this girl to notice me.
I'm such a fool, I'm such a fool.
There's a girl named Maggy Dane
Jogging by my house everyday.
And now it would seem all right
but I don't know what to say
But maybe if I told her I have just one day to live
Maybe she would pity me and let me have just one kiss.
There's got to be a way to get this girl to notice me.
I'm such a fool, I'm such a fool.
