Story Behind The Song
I actually wrote this while single. It's for the woman I intend to marry someday.
Song Description
The opening line explains a lot. "I hear this question a hundred times a day. Yet no seems to be asking me anyways."
It's about putting pressure on yourself and making every thing so final. What are you going to do with the rest of your life. Almost like quickly now tell me your 50 year plan.
Then the following verse starts into the rationalization of the question, "What if I said I plan to be happy?"
Finally the third verse uncovers who I'm is speaking to. The love of my life, and I propose to her in the third verse.

Lyrics
I hear this question, a hundred times a day.
And yet no one seems to be asking me, anyways.
What are you planning to do for the rest of your life?
What if I said I planned to be happy?
And the other details, we'll just wait and see.
What are you plannin' to do for the rest of your life?
And how do you honestly plan to do it?
It's just the rest of your life.
And what if I said, I plan to spend my time on you.
And maybe some day - I'll go ahead and ask you...
What are you planning to do with the rest of your life?
And how would you like to spend your time with me for the rest of your life?
For the rest of our lives.
