Praise 47

Song Description

Beginning with allegro percussion (somewhat subdued at first), "Psalm 47" builds as sections of the choir enter, one part at a time in counterpoint, building harmonies and in excitement. A middle section puts the choir into a three-octave phrase accompanied by hand claps, then reprising a combination of all parts together, driving to the end in a final, repeated homophonic "Praise" proclamation in jazz choral harmonies.
