Story Behind The Song

I wrote this song in Monterey, California, during a weekend trip there to get away from L.A. I was going through a transitional period; feeling isolated from others, because certain friendships seemed to be insincere. I was staying at a hotel near the ocean, and in the evening, I would go outside and watch the sun set over the ocean. Looking at the vastness and beauty of the sea, I wished I could toss all of my inner turmoil into the water and have them washed away with the outgoing waves.
