Two stories, A girl who dances and is into that type of life but all along wishing she could get out of it and trade places with someone else. The other story about a drug-dealing guy that a girl likes and admires but would never take seriously because of what he does, About a girl who likes a guy who is not on the right path. and even though she likes him she is not prepared to get involved because of his lifestyle...and as the cops take him away, she and others simply watch and do nothing.

About not giving up on people, not turning your back, because you could be in the same circumstance. In the first verse, describe situation where a girl is unfortunately dancing for her supper and would like to trade places with her clients, the second verse is about a guy that is into selling drugs on the street, and how everyone admires him but they don't help him when he is in trouble
