A producer approached me after a performance saying that he wanted to work with me. Surprisingly, he sent me a free track! I loved it and took the opportunity to write lyrics and a melody that I thought went well. I didn't want this to be like any pop song. I wanted it to have all the elements but have a bit of a deeper message - something different. I figured I'd have fun with it because no one ever really concerns themselves with the words of pop songs. And indeed it was fun...a lot of fun and quite a learning experience recording it!
