Story Behind The Song
This was a song suggestion when I attended a song writer conference. The suggestion was "Look at your hands". This was on a Thursday and we were to present the song at a Sunday brunch.
The challenge was that the conference goes from 8 am thru 2 am so not much time to write.
Song Description
The song illustrates the difference between two types of people and how I feel we, as individuals, should live our lives.

Lyrics
Look At My Hands
There are folks in this world who struggle and fight
The injustice that smothers this land
As I watch them I hope things will be alright
And wonder, do they need a hand?
Look at my hands are they working for freedom?
Look at my heart is it love that I share?
Look at my life is it worth all this living
If I don't lend you a hand?
There are others in this world who live for themselves
Only thinking of what they can gain
As they ravage this earth don't they understand?
When they're done, nothing remains!
Look at my hands are they working for freedom?
Look at my heart is it love that I share?
Look at my life is it worth all this living
If I don't lend you a hand?
BRIDGE
We all have the right to chose how we live
Decide right or wrong, which prevails?
We make the choice to take or to give
Whether to win or to fail
Look at my hands are they working for freedom?
Look at my heart is it love that I share?
Look at my life is it worth all this living
If I don't lend you a hand?
