Met an old man named Red Bear
IN the mountains up in Tennessee
Came walking up on Flat Top Ridge,
This is what he said to me

He said the sun is going down child
and the phoenix is on the rise
there won't be a man in this old town
won't have fear in his eyes
He said you better go and get your soul clean
Sister if you know what I mean
This time you can't run and hide
from the destruction that I've seen

Old Mr. Redbear bent down real slow
he picked up an old tin can and said

Up on that old mountain top
I went to kneel down

and looked up in the sky
old Red Bearn found me just in time
as that Red moon began to shine
