News

I am in my studio working on a new CD. I am also attending music theory classes. I have plans to visit the southern California desert in the beginning of April to relax and take in the peacefulness. I always gain inspiration for my music with time spent in a completely different environment.
I have written my first classical piece, but it needs more work before I can release it. It is in deference to BACH. Stay tuned for something new!

Lyrics

EVERY NOW AND THEN
(Dwain C. Hathaway)
© 2004 D.C. Hathaway Music

Every now and then the memories haunt me again,
the visions of you and I living in such a lie.
How?d we let it go so wrong? How?d we let it go so long?

Every now and then I can remember when
Our love was solid rock that somehow turned to chaulk.
There was magic in your kiss, a kiss I really miss.

CHORUS:

Every now and then I drift away
and think of you and every yesterday.
I try so hard to get you off my mind
with so many answers that I?ll never find.
Then I come to my senses and count to ten.
You?re only a memory but it hits me every now and then.

SOLO

BRIDGE:

I keep tellin? myself that once and for all
I?m getting you out of my mind,
but somehow the past, it creeps and it crawls.
I?m trying to leave it behind.

Every then and now I think of you somehow.
Like a hurricane, the thoughts are full of wind and rain.
It?s a storm that doesn?t move to fast.
How long is it going to last?

CHORUS

Every now and then. Ooh.
It hits me every now and then.
