Story Behind The Song
I noticed a trend in my local music scene toward more monotonous melodies and droney songs. In an attempt to write a boring, 2-chhord song as a protest to this trend, I ended up penning one of our catchiest and most requested tunes.
Song Description
The contagious melody and lighthearted delivery of this subtle social commentary are juxtaposed by it's subtly sarcastic lyrics. The song's narrator is noticing a lack of substance in the music scene and reacting to an evironment where she feels like a fish out of water.

Lyrics
I hope I don't seem too inviting
It's better to be vague
There are times I don't know why
I don't just make a day of it
And go out that door
But this is such a lovely mood
I hope to hear some more
The one they played might be my favorite
Or was that the one before it
I can't be sure
CHORUS: Everyone looks just like Louise Brooks tonight
Everyone looks just like Louise brooks tonight
I hope I don't get too excited
It's better to be bored
And if I dared to go outside
I surely would be colder
Than I am right now
Allow me to restrain myself
I've been a little bold
I don't know how you don't get tired
You're really a lot older
Than you used to be
CHORUS
