Story Behind The Song

I was in a very dark and frustrated place the morning the song came to me. I did not want to write that morning but had committed myself. I thought I had nothing worth sharing. I just made the decision to work with exactly what was present to me in the moment. Then as soon as I started to write, I heard Johnny Cash's voice in my head. I swear he gave me the song!!! It was the first time a melody came to me like that. It was a powerful experience!!! Not only did it completely shift my perspective that morning, but it gave me a surge of new life for the whole week and beyond. It was a transcendant channeling that occurred.

Song Description

The process of opening your eyes to see all of life's cycles, and to risk experiencing true feelings and being fully engaged can be very painful but honestly I believe this is the only way to truly live.
