Lyrics

We Can't Go Back
By Artist: P&C PHILL

This song is for my peoples locked down
I been where you are I know what your going through
This song is for my peoples locked down
Never give up keep ya head up

First Rap:
Ya' Now We can't go back to the penitentiary
I'm addicted to the livin and the money on these streets.

And it's funny they screamin peace, but causeing the violence
And for my family thats locked down, moment of silence, Ya

I know it's hard when you behind bars
So as soon as you hit the bricks back to the nice life and fast cars

And I know that the CO's are wise guys
With thier uniforms on thier hoes otherwise

And I done messed up and got caught up in the system
Thinkin bout my loved ones, Man I really miss them

Wakin up at 5 in the morning gives me an attitude
Just so they can feed us thier breakfast, I call it maget food

If I were you, I wouldn't get caught in a facility
Locked up in a block with no cops, and you got enemies

Bet I'll never go back to livin in a cage
I'd rather be up in a grave, than be treated like a slave

Man We Can't Go Back!

First Verse:
Don't wanna think about standing up for head counts
Don't want someone tellin me when it's time to put food in my mouth

I don't want no CO telling me that my people gotta go

Overdubs
(They say my people gotta go)
(They say my people gotta go NO)

Never wanna be surrounded again with nothing but men
Even though in jail I met some of my realist friends

I don't wanna be told that I can't wear my own damn clothes

Overdubs
(They say I can't wear my own clothes)
(They say I can't wear my own clothes NO)

Bridge
Every day I know I make mistakes, Just a chance that I gotta take
I'm making moves you know it's money to be made

overdubs
(this is just the game I play)

Repeat Bridge 1X

2nd Verse

Don't wanna hear my L
Trying ta gas me take a deal

Never wanna think about
being locked back in a cell

Shakles and Cufs
Dog I had enough

Standing up so 12 can judge me
I gotta get back to my family

I was on my knees
Beggin God Please
Come Save me
Take me out this penitentiary

Shakles and Cufs
Dog I had enough
Standing up so 12 can judge me

I gotta get back to my family

Bridge
Every day I know I make mistakes, Just a chance that I gotta take
I'm making moves you know it's money to be made

overdubs
(this is just the game I play)

Repeat Bridge 1X

2nd Rap

Never again wanna talk with a pad and a pen
To my man locked down doing 7 to 10

Don't wanna think about no more collect calls
don't wanna spend dough on a bill that I could spend at the mall

I lost focus on myself, it's like we both locked down
Cause I feel a bit trapped, mentally we adapt

Oh how I wish you can physically come give it to me
ever since I took the stand you can't take my hand

Now we talk behind the glass you gotta keep your composure
I'ma stay till them visits are over

And back again and again I spend more time with lawyers than friends

And times moving so slow I'm off the calendar days
All alone with this liquor I watch your pictures and wait

While you up in here I'm out here tryin ta carry the weight
circumstances that I just can't take

But fait can feel your dream I try to stay in contact
Can't do this again, We Can't Go Back!

We can't go back, aint havin that, not feelin that, we won't go back
Overdubs

(We Can't Go back) Repeat

We can't go back, aint havin that, not feelin that, we won't go back

Overdubs
(We Can't Go back) Repeat

Man I gotta keep it real
I can't go back to jail
I done gave them too much time already
I can't give em no more

Daddy Please Don't ever leave me again
