Story Behind The Song
After months of being on tour, in the midst of a new relationship, and having no place to call home, this song came out of a very huge transitional period in my life. It's a song about finding and making a home with the ones you love.
Song Description
"This World Is Moving Slow" is a song of wanting and not quite having. It's about being stuck in the in between and needing the things that ground us in our daily lives and needing them now. In this case, I needed home. Home is my
wife, it's shared feelings, it's being comfortable not knowing the unknown, it's my first dog, and it's the process of turning a house into a home.

Lyrics
I've been waiting for the summer
Or at least a glimpse of sunshine
But I woke up just where I need to be In your arms; in your sweet company
I've been waiting for this story Something scripted like a movie
Every night we'd burn out like a light And wake up like the flame of our desire
This world is moving slow
But still too fast to let her know Still too crazy, still unknown
While I've been looking for a place to call my home
And she's my home
I've been looking for tomorrow
Keeping one eye on my past sorrow
But when I arrive to the place I hold inside
You're there sleeping, waiting for my love
I've been looking over freeways
Mile signs and city parkways
But I woke up just where I need to be With your smile, in your sweet company
The world is moving slow
But still too fast to let her know Still too crazy, still unknown
While I've been looking for a place to call my home
And she's my home
Home is where I need to be
Seeing every thing I need to see
And I can't get close enough
The night is where I listen to
Every noise as I'm missing you
And I can't get close enough
This world is moving slow
But still too fast to let her know Still too crazy, still unknown
While I've been looking for a place to call my home And she's my home
