A man in love with his brother's family.

I pull into the drive and walk up to the door
When Lucy comes running out and says,”Mum’s lyin’ on the floor!”
So I run into the kitchen like some de-railed train
Only to find it’s some kind of new game that you’re playin’

With the twins held tight between your knees you smile up at me
Flash your beautiful green eyes only then do I breath

You make me breathless, you take my breath away
You’re the only reason I got out of bed today
Breathless, what a state I’m in
’Cause this is the longest I have ever been…..

A thousand times I’ve tried to tell you how I feel
The moment never comes somehow I hope it never will
’Cause it’s wrong that I pretend you all belong to me
And it’s wrong that in my mind, you are my family

Then Lucy breaks the spell when she takes the phone
And says, ”Hi dad, when are you comin’ home?
I smile and reach for my car keys
Put on my coat and I quietly leave
My brother’s family
